A memorial service both honors the memory of the deceased and provides a means through which the bereaved may find support and comfort.
Memorial services, not having the actual physical remains of the deceased, are unique experiences that are customized to fit the needs of the next-of-kin and survivors. Besides having a collage of photographs displayed or a video tribute played on a monitor, was there a favorite song that you would like to have played and/or sung at the service? Was there a poem or a reading that reminds you of their life? Were there educational, vocational, organization awards or recognitions along with handiworks or art from the past that you would like to have displayed?
