Anna (Soperak) Bocinski 86, fell asleep in the Lord on Monday morning, March 15, 2021 at Susquehanna Nursing Home after a short illness. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna (Drimak) Soperak, her brother, Michael Soperak, Jr., and her beloved husband, Leonard F. Bocinski in 2016.
Anna is survived by her daughter Darlene A. Bocinski, Endicott and two sons, Dennis M. "Mike" Bocinski and his wife, Maria, Binghamton, and Leonard F. Bocinski Jr., Georgetown, KY, three grandsons, Michael and Robert Bocinski, Binghamton, and Blake (Emily) Bocinski, Irmo, SC, one great grandson, Ian Bocinski, Irmo, SC. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Puzakulics, Vestal and Pani Delores and her husband, Very Rev. Protopresbyter John Fedornock, Mount Airy, MD, two sisters-in-law, Catherine Bocinski and Patricia Soperak and brother-in-law Normand LaMontagne all of Binghamton. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Kelly Cerroni, Mission, TX, for her helping friendship and guidance with Darlene.
Anna was a life-long member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Binghamton. She was active in the Ladies Guild and the church pirohi sales. Anna was a great baker who loved to bake cookies, nut rolls, kolachki and paska for her "customers". She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Anna's funeral service will be on Saturday at 10am at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton with Protopresbyters James Dutko and John Fedornock officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anna's memory to ACHIEVE, 125 Cutler Pond Road, Binghamton, NY 13905 or to her church.
