Katherine J. Kadylak Aiello of Binghamton, passed away peacefully Sunday February 14, 2021 at the age of 62, surrounded by her loving family. Despite serious medical obstacles she showed strength, beauty, and courage until the end.
She was predeceased by her maternal & paternal grandparents and her father, Martin Kadylak in 2017. She will be greatly missed and cherished by the love of her life fiancé, Brian Vojtisek; her mother, Emogene Kadylak, siblings: Chris/Dave Zelesnikar; Mike/MaryBeth Kadylak; Ed/Debbie Kadylak and MaryAnn/John Kucera. Also surviving are her nieces & nephews: Nate/Becky Zelesnikar, Keith Zelesnikar; her godson/Shalee Willsey, Matt/Kacy Zelesnikar, Dan/Emily DiRado, Ryan DiRado, Matt/Nicole DiRado, Jennifer DiRado, Travis Kadylak, Celeste/Dario Mass, Antonio Kadylak/Gabby Ruspintini and great nieces & great nephews - Luke & Annabelle Zelesnikar, Maddison & Bailey Boyd, Henry & Emagene Zelesnikar, Sophia, Santino & Shay DiRado, her extended family, the Vojtisek family and many many special friends.
Kathy & Brian loved to travel to the ocean, bike ride in Ithaca, go for car rides, dance at the many picnics they attended and hit antique shops throughout their travels. Her purchases were rarely, if ever, for herself always thinking of others. In Kathy's giving nature, her memory will live on through the recipients of her organ and tissue donation.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church and a retired employee of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to her team of doctors at Lourdes Hospital, UHS and Upstate Medical Center for their loving care. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Robert Conchini at Lourdes Hospital for his loving care, compassion, and friendship.
A private service was held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Teodor B. Czabala Jr. officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held in the future when Covid restrictions allow.
