Their care, compassion and friendship were surely what kept her thriving day in and out. We would also like to thank the medical staff and support team at Elizabeth Church Manor for the excellent care she received while rehabilitating from her most recent hospital stay.
Jennie retired from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 1976 after 20 years of service, spanning over 33 years. She was employed on three separate occasions alternating between being a full-time mother and homemaker and her work-related duties ranging from Senior Clerical Assistant to Assistant Office Manager. She was well known throughout the years for her smiling, pleasant demeanor and valuable contributions to the organization.
Jennie was also renowned for her wonderful culinary skills. We will particularly miss her homemade sauce, lasagna, meatballs, cheesecake and other famous Italian delicacies. She was also an avid reader with an estimated 1000+ books read in her spare time. Jennie was a long-time congregant of St. Anthony of Padua church in Endicott, New York, attending mass every Sunday up until recently when her health prevented her in-person participation.
Due to the current COVID-19 health restrictions, a private graveside ceremony took place at Calvary Cemetery. A memorial mass and celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Announcements will be published on-line and in the local newspaper.
