Mary Ann (Puskar) Pelissero, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 15, 2020 at Mystic Meadows Health Center, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband, Fior J. Pelissero, her parents Michael and Julia (Tkach) Puskar.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Nina Marie (Anthony) Tarabokija; her son, Gregory Keir Pelissero (Kim Lewis); her sister, Helena (Raymond) Gee; her niece, Tricia Carman, nephew Michael Gee and cousins. Mary Ann touched many lives and deeply treasured her family and friends. She was a devoted, caring mother who enjoyed weekly Sunday outings with family for many years.
Mary Ann was born and raised in Johnson City, NY, and cherished the wonderful childhood she had surrounded by a large, extended family. She was a graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design. She spent several years designing in New York City, before moving to Parsippany, NJ to raise a family. She later earned certifications in Interior Design, and was the owner of Towne Decorators, Randolph, NJ for many years. Mary Ann's creativity was sparked by a lifelong love of art, nature, and the desire to make her environment elegant and welcoming. Some of her fondest memories were visits to art museums in Italy and Spain.
Adhering to the current COVID-19 health regulations a funeral service for the immediate family will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect St., Binghamton with Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko officiating.
Donations may be made in Mary Ann's memory to St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 296 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905
