Loretta Ann Steward, 97, formerly of Norwich, passed away surrounded by family, Friday morning, January 3, 2025, at Good Shepherd Fairview, in Binghamton, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Horace Steward, sisters Lorena Bowers and Dorthea Knickerbacher, brother Donald Gaughan, and sons-in-law David Young.

She is survived by her, three daughters and sons-in-laws; Patricia and John Henningsen of Binghamton, Linda Young of Oneonta, and Kathleen and Tab Winner of Oxford, five sons and five daughters-in-laws; Kenneth Jr. and Rose Steward of Norwich, James and Corrine Steward of Norwich, Dave and Lynn Steward of PA, Daniel and Yolany Steward of FL, and Terry and Ginger Steward of Orlando FL, a sister-in-law Yvonne Steward of Norwich, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Also, several nieces and nephews.

Loretta was a graduate of the Morris school system. She attended Ridley Lowell Business and Technical Institute in Binghamton. She was a retired employee of the Norwich Shoe Company.

Loretta enjoyed Yankees baseball, doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, walking, trips to Florida, spending time with her family, dogs, knitting and blowing everyone kisses.

Thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Fairview nursing home, especially her two great-granddaughters, for taking great care of her.

The family will have a burial and celebration of life at a later date.
