Maureen Catherine Marion

Maureen Catherine Sanderson was born on February 13th, 1944, in Trinidad and Tobago. She lived a full and vibrant life, marked by love, resilience, and dedication to family. She was married twice, first to Hugo Keller and later to Robert Marion. On February 16th, 2025, at the age of 81, Maureen passed away peacefully in Binghamton, NY, surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen’s love for her family knew no bounds, especially the deep bond she shared with her granddaughters, Kalese and Keisha. A devoted caretaker, she always put her loved ones first, determined to see them thrive. With her infectious laughter, she was the life of every gathering, leaving behind cherished memories of warmth, humor, and unwavering love.

Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Kathleen, Grace, and Brenda; her brother Rudolph; her first husband, Hugo Keller; her second husband, Robert Marion; and her firstborn son, Duane. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience in her surviving family: her sisters Eileen and Avis, her brother Carlton, her children Prudence and Michael, her daughter-in-law Molly, and her cherished granddaughters Kalese and Keisha. She was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandson, a new light in the family she so dearly loved.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Maureen’s life will be held on February 22nd, 2025, at Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home Inc., located at 326 Prospect St, Binghamton, NY 13905. A viewing will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by the service at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and pay tribute to a life well-lived.

Though Maureen is no longer with us, the love, laughter, and kindness she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a light in our lives, a source of strength, and a reminder of the beauty found in family and friendship. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will always be with us.
