Maurice J. “Bud” Vaughan 78 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday evening September 27, 2025, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier.

He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Florence Vaughan, his brother, William Vaughan and his grandson, Tyler Vaughan.

Bud is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Linda Vaughan, his daughters, Michelle (Jason) Vaughan and Heather Vaughan, his son, Joseph M. (Jamie) Vaughan, grandchildren, JJ, Katie, Justin, Colton and Logan, his sister, Joyce Vaughan, and his furry companions.

Bud loved his family, hunting, golfing, bowling, playing pinochle and enjoying his home and the outdoors. Bud always enjoyed a cold beer with all his friends .He always had a sarcastic remark or an answer for everything. He was retired welder for Universal Instruments in Binghamton. He was an Army veteran.

A funeral mass will be celebrated by  at St. Mary’s Church in Kirkwood, Route 11, Kirkwood

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bud’s memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.McKinley Street, Endicott, NY 13760 as an appreciation for the excellent, compassionate care that Bud received.
