Carol J. Bowman, Age 81

            Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great “Gigi” went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 8th, 2025, after a courageous and faith-filled battle with aggressive cancer. She left this world with golden sunlight on her face — a peaceful and beautiful farewell that reflected the warmth and grace she shared throughout her life.

            Carol is predeceased by her devoted husband, James E. Bowman; her parents, Michael and Sophie Potochnik; her brother, Gerry Potochnik; and her cherished grandson, Brandon Yanchulis. She will also be warmly welcomed in Heaven by many loving members of the Fenson family.

            Carol loved everyone in her ever-growing family. She is survived by her children: Son Deron (Nicole) and daughters Teri B., Ginger S., Jamie (Al), and Debbie B. She raised them to be independent, thoughtful adults — a legacy of strength, kindness, and resilience that lives on through each of them.

            She also adored her grandchildren: Joseph, Randy, Adam (Julia), Jacob (Shannon), Morgan (Joe), Matt (Alexis), Danny (Megan), Tim, Natalie, Mia, and Nate. Her eyes would sparkle whenever she spoke of them. That same joy shone even brighter for her precious great-grandchildren — Olivia, Max, and Aurora — who brought her endless pride and delight.

            At Carol’s request, there will be no formal services. Family and close friends will gather at the Tower of Memories in Vestal Hills at a later date. There, she will be laid to rest beside Dad, sharing once again the love, laughter, and celebration that mark her journey home to the Kingdom of Heaven.
