Pauline Tugwell 84 passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 7, 2026 at the Susquehanna Nursing Home,

She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-eight years, Michael R. Tugwell, her loving son, Matthew Tugwell and loving daughter, Elizabeth (Christopher) LaFountain, her grandchildren Ethan and William LaFountain and many nieces and nephews.

She was a retired English teacher for Chenango Valley School System from 1970-99.

She loved her family, teaching, and reading Agatha Christie novels.

A funeral mass will be offered by Rev. Evans Kulei on Thursday at 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1 Aquinas St. Binghamton Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broome County Humane Society 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903.
