Luba Jean Woytew 80, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday August 26, 2026.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Olga (Zaharchuk) Woytew,
She is survived by her sister Patricia (James) Ramsdell, her nephew Dr. Robert Ramsdell and children, Nora and William and many friends.
She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, as a cantor, teaching religion and preparing children for First Holy Communion, arranging the church flowers, and attending all the church services especially the funerals of the parishioners.
Visitation will be at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton on Wednesday from 4-7pm where a prayer service (Parastas) will be recited at 630pm. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Archpriest Teodor B. Czabala Jr. on Thursday 10am at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, 230 Ukrainian Hill Road, Johnson City. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
