Joyce W. Vaughan, 80, passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2026, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. 

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Florence Vaughan; her brothers, William Vaughan and Maurice “Bud” Vaughan; and her grandnephew, Tyler Vaughan and her special spirit animal Puma. 

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Vaughan; nieces Michelle (Jason) Vaughan and Heather (Omar) Vaughan; nephew Joseph M. (Jamie) Vaughan; grandnieces and grandnephews JJ, Katie, Justin, Colton, and Logan; and all of her special friends, and her spiritual family.  A special thank you to her friends Millie, Jill, and Barb. 

Joyce retired from the Homestead Conference Center in Hornby, NY. 

Joyce’s spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to have known and loved her. She touched many lives with her presence, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held for all friends and family on October 11, 2026, at Greenspring's Natural, 293 Irish Hill Rd, Newfield, NY 14867, at 1:00 PM.
