Richard G. “Sam” Hider passed away on November 28, 2022.

Richard was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-three years Jane (Metrus) Hider; his parents Tofik and Shaheenie (Hadad) Hider; and two sisters, Wadad Cush and Ruth Bunting.

He is survived by nephew; Joseph Corsi, niece; Lynn (A.J.) Bland and family, niece; Janice (Paul) Rounds and family, niece; Sharon Nelson and family, and nephew; Dennis (Elaine) Metrus and family.

Richard graduated from Hartwick College and the University of Scranton. Richard was an US Army veteran.

He was an avid card player and he loved casinos and gambling.

Inurnment will take place in the future at the convenience of the family at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
