Tatiana “Tanya” Pylypciw 89 years of Johnson City fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday morning, November 15, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Pylypciw Sr. and son-in-law, David Davies.
She is survived by her children, Kyra Davies of Johnson City, John (Susan) Pylypciw Jr. of Hershey, PA, Nadya (David) O'Donnell of Johnson City, and Michael (Elizabeth) Pylypciw of Endicott, six grandchildren; Matthew and Molly Pylypciw, Alexandra and Cassandra Margets, and Jacob and Luke Pylypciw, and her caregivers; Molene and Nancy.
She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church. Tanya earned an associate degree and she was a retired executive administrative assistant for Broome-Tioga A.R.C. Binghamton. She loved her family and getting together for Christmas and Easter dinners. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and the companionship of her cat, “Katy”.
A funeral service will be offered by the Very Rev. Alexey Karlgut on Saturday at 9:30am at SS Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 210 Hill Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton where a prayer service will be offered at 6:30pm.
