Dolores Marie (Trella) Zupancic “Dee” 86, of Binghamton fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday morning, July 7, 2022, at UHS Johnson City.
Dee was predeceased by her husband of fifty-eight years, Tony Zupancic.
She is survived by two daughters; Michele (Michael) Roach of Mooresville, IN and Tanya Zupancic of Johnson City; two grandchildren; Zachary Zupancic and Alex Palomino, her great aunt; Julia Dyno, and nieces and nephews.
Dee was a lifetime member of Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church. She was a retired executive assistant to the Director of Pathology for UHS, Johnson City.
After retiring in 1999, Dee moved to Florida and returned to the Binghamton area in 2017 where she enjoyed her family, her church, and her friends. She loved her Russian heritage and enjoyed her ethnic foods and traditions. Dee had a fantastic work ethic and was a lover of animals especially her “kitty children”.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 54 Baxter St. Binghamton with Very Rev. Myron Oryhon officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA and her church.
