John M. Jubinski, 79 formerly of Binghamton fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his home.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne (Donlick) Jubinski; his parents, Metro and Susan (Matwey) Jubinski; his brothers-in-law, Bruce Van Valkenburg and Stephen Michalko.
He is survived by his daughter, Justine (James) Layman of Binghamton and their children, Sarah (Andrew) Kline, Joseph (Kristina) Layman, Hannah Layman (Jorge Zambrana), their grandchildren; Gabriel and Harper Kline and Madison Layman, his son; Subdeacon John M. (Kristin) Jubinski II of Benson, NC and their children, Sabrina, Michaela Jonah and Juliana, his sisters, Beverly Michalko of Elmira and Dorothy (David) Raybin of The Villages, FL, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very generous to his family giving them his guidance and financial support over the years. He built both of his family homes and he never wanted to be a burden to anyone. He was a member of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church.
A funeral service will be offered by the Very Rev. Ilya Gotlinsky at noon on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 54 Baxter St. Binghamton where the family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at the convenience of the family in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to his church.
