Mary Kubik Hektor of Endicott

On Tuesday, December 21,2021 Mary went peacefully and with joy to join her heavenly family. She was born on January 17, 1920 and was the proud mother of 5 children: Janice Emery, Karl Hektor (deceased), wife Ribbie (deceased), Betty Hektor Langevin (deceased), husband Jerry Langevin (deceased), Jim Hektor, wife Betsy, and David Hektor, wife Vicky.

Mary had 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Mary was married to her husband Karl for 39 years before he was taken to heaven.

Mary was a graduate of Johnson City High School where she excelled in basketball and enjoyed running track and playing field hockey. She was a strong proponent of girls' sports. She worked until age 73 at GE. Upon retirement she delivered for Meals on Wheels and was a 20+ year HONOREE of Johnson City Senior Center.

She truly enjoyed her family, whether it was rigging a game so everyone won a game to being the first person in the pool. She loved being with her family and was always there whenever she was needed.

Mary will be remembered as a loving, kind, caring compassionate LADY who will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on her 102nd birthday on January 17 at 11 AM EST. through Zoom. Anyone interested in attending please contact a family member and information will be sent to you.
