Judith Ann Hiza went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born in Johnson City in 1945. She graduated from the Johnson City School System and received her Associate Degree in Business from Broome Tech.
She was an active member of the Ascension Lutheran Church and in later years a member of the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Vestal, singing in their choirs and working at their rummage and bake sales. She also enjoyed working in the kitchen of the Lutheran Fellowship Club, where she met her late husband, John Hiza. She also loved music, playing the piano, button box and singing.
She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Christine (Zlock) Muska, her husbands, Thomas Belensky and John G. Hiza, and her sisters, Carol (Delmar) Gould and Sharon Muska and her niece, Cathy Gould.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Belensky (Chad Hrehor) of Johnson City; her son Mark (Erin) Belensky of Endicott; and grandchildren, Christine, and William Belensky, her sister, Diane MacKendrick, TX; her niece, Jill (John) Rigsdell, her nephew, Jonathan (Tara) MacKendrick,
The family will receive friends at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect St. Binghamton on Monday from 3-5pm. A private interment will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
