Nedeem N. Kenien 80 years fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of fifty-one years, Jo Anne Kenien, his brothers, David L. Kenien and Dr. Edward R. (Lola) Kenien, his sister-in-law, Diane Ferraccioli, a brother-in-law, William L. (Jeanne) Danek, and several loving nieces and nephews including his special nephew, Dr. Nicholas Kenien.
He was a member and church beautifier for twenty-two years of Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church. He was a retired Administrator and Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Army after thirty years of service.
He was also an avid gardener, wine maker, and a licensed HAM radio operator under the call sign WA2VZH.
A funeral service will be offered by the Very Rev. Ilya Gotlinsky on Saturday 10am at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 54 Baxter Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends 9am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Spring Forest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nedeem's memory to his church.
