Marsha Heckman Garceau 70 of Glens Falls, fell asleep in the Lord unexpectedly on Monday morning, August 9, 2021, at her home.
She was predeceased by her father Hugh Heckman.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Heckman of Binghamton; her brother, Richard Heckman of Northglenn, CO; two nephews, Ian (Sarah) Heckman and their son, Avery Heckman of NC, and Jacob Heckman of CO.
She was a retired insurance specialist for Travelers of 333 Glen Street. Marsha was a season ticket holder for the Adirondack Thunder Hockey Team. She was an avid reader. Marsha enjoyed shopping on QVC, going to Turning Stone with her friends, going to Binghamton Mets games with her mother, going out to dinner and gardening. She was a private person who cherished her close friends and generous to those she helped over the years. She was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church.
The family will receive friends at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton on Monday from 9am to 10am followed by a funeral service offered by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
